Happy Birthday Collin

Today is Collin's 11th birthday. At times it's hard to believe it has been that long ago. I can still vividly remember when he was born. I had to be induced because of high blood pressure. I tried laboring all (8hrs) day without on epidural. Finally at 5pm I asked if I could get one. I went from a 4cm to 10cm in 3 hours. I pushed for 32 minutes. Collin made his debut at 8:32pm. He was a little blue when he came out so they took him to NICU for about 30 mins and brought him back.
He was such a colicky baby. He would scream for about 4-5 hours every night. Thankfully my Mom had plenty of experience from when I was a baby so she taught me how to handle a colicky baby. Once Collin grew out of that he was such a fun and happy baby. He used to flex every muscle in his body when sitting in the highchair. It was hilarious. We called it 'the flex'. He has been such a great big brother to his sisters and I'm so thankful for that.
On Saturday we had a little birthday date and I took him to the mall to get his birthday present. He got 2 pairs of jeans, a sweatshirt, beanie, shoes and some sun glasses. Here is a picture of his new getup.

Happy Birthday to my amazing 11 yrs old son ... Collin!

No such luck

So I was hoping to wake up this morning to some chipper kids (this is me being my optimistic self). No such luck!
They are still running fevers. I took a picture of them this morning. Poor babies!

Enough Already

So our house seems to be the house of sickness this season. I've been sick off and on since November 1st. Starting with H1n1 that led into Bronchitis which lasted 6 weeks. Had to take 2 rounds of antibiotics to get rid of it. Only to get a sinus infection 2 weeks later which brought back the cough. Had another round of antibiotics was healthy for 1 week and got sick again. So I'm on my 4th round of antibiotics which the Dr. wants me on for 2 weeks to try and rid my body of whatever bug I have.
Jordon seems to be right along with me. When I get sick, she gets sick. She has had head colds and ear infections. She has had 4 ear infections since November and has also been on antibiotics 5 times. Now she and Sienna are very sick again this weekend. They've been running fevers of close to 103 degrees. They are hacking their lungs out and have stuffed up noses. All they've done is laid around on the couches for the last 2 days. It's really sad to watch and not be able to do much.
Yesterday Bruce and I cleaned our house from top to bottom and disinfected like crazy. I'm really tired of being sick all the time and hope that this is the last of sickness in our house for a LONG time!

Flute Dance

Hanging out before the recital in the dressing room

Jordon had her first ballet recital on Saturday. She had a blast! She keeps asking to go back and do it again. I'm so glad it was such an amazing experience for her. My Dad came with us to watch her as well. I've attached the dance for your enjoyment.

January Fun

Here are some random pictures from this month.

The 'love/hate' relationship of Collin & Jordon. Today was a good day.

The girls can't grasp the concept that it's winter time.

Winter Blues

So I know it's only the 2nd week in January, but I'm so ready for Spring/Summer already. I think when Bruce and I are older we may become Snowbirds and live in AZ during the winter months. I'm ready to hear the birds chirping, see the flowers blooming, the smell of fresh cut grass and beautiful blue skies everyday.
Sounds delightful!
