Who does she look like?? ....

Everyone always asks 'who does Alexa look like?'. Honestly, she is a good mix and definitely has her own look to her. You be the judge .... what do you think??

Sicko's

Last week was pretty much hell. Jordon and Sienna came down with RSV. They were so sick and laid on the couch for about 3 days with fevers, coughs, runny nose and Jordon had an ear infection. Baby and I hung out in my bedroom all week so that Alexa didn't get exposed too much. I was super worried because the NICU made a big deal about making sure Alexa doesn't get RSV with having had a heart defect. She had been getting Synegis shots to help her if she does get RSV. It doesn't keep her from getting it, it just helps her body fight the infection off faster. Anyway, in February our insurance started over and the shots are 2k each. She only needed 2 more for the months of February and March. We decided to gamble and not get them since our girls have never had RSV before. Well, this is what happens when you gamble I guess.
I took Alexa to her pediatrician on Monday for her 4 month immunizations. So far so good, no sign of RSV. Sadly, Bruce and I are now getting sick. So the Dr. decided to wait another week before we immunize just to make sure she doesn't come down with it this week. On the bright side Alexa is growing so fast! She is already 14lbs 10oz. My big girl!! She is 75% in weight and height and 25% in head circumference.  LOL ... she has a little head. So I asked the Dr. if we should hurry and order the Synegis shot since she has been exposed now. He grabbed his book and looked it up. He was afraid that the shot wouldn't really matter at this point now. After looking it up he was right. The shots are only good for babies with heart defects that require medication or isn't considered 'corrected'. Well, Alexa's heart is corrected and is no longer on medications for her heart. So she is considered a 'normal' baby. What a relief it was to hear that. Truly a miracle for sure!

You can't tell very well in this pic but her eyes were so blood shot and oozing mucus.

Love that tongue, just like Aunt Cala. LOL

Rice Cereal

Well Alexa is 4 months old already. In ways it seems hard to believe and in other ways time has gone so fast. We've started her on rice cereal in the evenings. She is still trying to get used to eating. She is not sure what to do with her tongue.
Alexa is seriously a hilarious baby. She has this 'growling' noise that she makes when she is trying to talk to you. She has started to giggle more which is SO fun to hear. She also makes noises that resembles the sound a baby hawk or pterodactyl would make. We just adore her and her sweet personality. What a joy she is!

When Alexa swings in her swing she been doing 'crunches' and falling to the side. I'm beginning to think she actually likes sleeping like this. It doesn't look comfy to me but she does this all the time.

Ballerina's

This year Sienna is taking ballet as well. They had their first recital in January. I'm a little late on posting. Anyway, the theme was 'Night at the Movies'. Jordon did Indiana Jones and Sienna was Pink Panther. Enjoy!
