Salt Lake Days 3 - 5

So Wednesday morning we went back to Thanksgiving Point since we didn't get to see the dinosaur museum. There was NO line and hardly anyone there. So much more worth it to me to pay full price and enjoy the exhibit than to pay $2 with a crap load of people. Sienna was a little freaked out at times from the noises of the dinosaurs. When we would walk by the exhibits she would say 'ewww gross'!

After Bruce got off work we went to the Aquarium in Sandy. It was so awesome! The kids really enjoyed it. We saw an octopus, jelly fish, sting rays, spiders, snakes, sharks ... etc.

On Thursday we hung out at the hotel in the morning. Then after Sienna woke up from her nap we went to Cowabunga Bay Waterpark in Draper. This was so much fun! It is a Hawaiian/California Surfin themed waterpark. They play fun music and it wasn't too crowded. The have a lazy river and the kiddie pool which are both heated. That was key! After going on a few of the water slides we would go back to the kiddie pool and warm up. Jordon had a blast and went down all the slides Collin did. Sienna went down slides with Bruce and loved it! Well worth the money!

Friday was a very low key day. We packed things up while Bruce was at work and checked out at 2pm. Bruce wasn't getting off work until closer to 4pm so I drove to Taylorsville to a park and let Collin & Sienna play. Jordon fell asleep in the car. Around 3:15pm Bruce text me to come get him. We picked him up and headed home. We all had a great time but was SO ready to come back home.

Salt Lake Days 1 & 2

Bruce had to work in Salt Lake again this last week so we decided to take the whole family and make a mini vacation out of it. We left on Sunday around 5pm and made it to our hotel shortly after 10pm. We stayed at the Residence Inn @ Marriott. The room was perfect. It had 2 bedrooms with bathrooms in each room. Plus a TV couch area and full kitchen.
Collin and Jordon shared a bed and we brought Sienna's toddlers bed and put it in Bruce and I's room. After getting all settled in we went to bed shortly after 11pm. The kids were up bright and early for our continental breakfast. After breakfast we went swimming in the hotel pool. Put the girls down for a nap and then played some basketball while we waited for Bruce to get off work. We then ventured out to Temple Square (the castle according to Jordon) and toured the area. Went to get some dinner and then went swimming again once we got back to our hotel.

On Tuesday we headed out to Thanksgiving Point for the $2 for Tuesday special. The line to the dinosaur museum was outrageous. So we headed over to the garden area and walked around there. It was so beautiful. After an hour doing that we headed back over to the dinosaur area and the line was still just as long (probably and hour wait). It was getting close to nap time, so I made an executive decision to bag the museum and head back to the hotel. All 3 kids of course were in tears and withing 10 minutes of driving back all 3 were asleep. We headed to Payson, UT around 2:30pm to visit my cousin and his family. They have 2 little girls Jordon and Sienna's age. We stayed there till shortly after 8pm and headed home. Thank you Brian and Heather for letting us hang our at your place and feeding us a delicious dinner! It was so fun to visit with you.

Someone is 30!

I want to wish my super hot sexy hubby a Happy 30th birthday! It's crazy to think that shortly after we met he was celebrating his 21st birthday. Now 9 years down the road we are married with 2 beautiful hard headed girls.
I surprised him last night with a b-day party at Red Robin. It turned out great and we had a great time visiting with great friends and family. Thank you everyone who came for making it a memorable birthday for him. Afterwards we headed on over to Meridian Lanes for some bowling. It was girls vs. boys. Yes, us girls dominated both games!!!

Today the girls and I made Daddy a birthday cake. They were so excited to help. I frosted the cake and Jordon & Sienna helped me write and draw on it.

Things I love about my main squeeze:
1. His personality & sense of humor (we get along great!)
2. His smile
3. His passion for athletics and drive
4. The way he is with his girls and Collin
5. The love and support he shows me
6. The comfort and safety he provides me and our family
7. His SUPER sexiness!!!

2 going on 16

Sienna is growing up so fast! She has got the temper tantrums down to a T. Loves to torment her older sister and giggle if Jordon gets in trouble for it. She loves to play Mommy to all her babies and doggies. She has a VERY short fuse and gets mad very easily if something doesn't go the way she wants it. When not mad she is a very happy girl and loves to laugh.

Pierced Ears

So Jordon has been asking to get her ears pierced for a couple of weeks now. So I decided we'd go and get them done last night. We gathered all the kids up and went to Claire's Boutique. We had Jordon pick out which ear rings she wanted. She chose a daisy with rainbow assortment of colors.
She was all excited sitting proud in the chair. The gal marked Jordon's ears with the marker and asked us if it looked okay to us. We agreed. She loaded the gun with the ear ring lined it up and SNAP! Jordon's expression was priceless!! It was a mixture of excitement, pain and shock all put together. She freaked out and started screaming. Bruce and I of course knew this would be the reaction as she is very much a drama queen. After about 5 minutes I asked Bruce to hold Jordon and together we would hold her head still (which she is SUPER strong)so that the gal could pierce her other ear.
Today she is super excited that she has her ear rings and shows them to everyone.

Mud Lake

We decided to take a quick trip to Mud Lake this weekend to see G&G Baird, Uncle Rick, Terry & Leslie and some their kids Josh & Kristen, Scott & Christine and Mason. The girls had a blast playing with everyone. They got to ride the horsey, swing in the hammock with Grandma, run through sprinklers at Aunt Leslie's house and jump on the trampoline. Here are some pictures of the weekend.
