Birthday Wubby!

I seriously can't believe Sienna is 4 years old already. We kept the birthday semi low key this year. Mainly, I didn't have the energy to put on much of a celebration. She is having a 'princess party' with a few close friends on Friday. We woke her up by singing Happy Birthday to her. She went to Preschool and had a birthday party there. After dinner we let her open up her gifts from us and had some yummy chocolate cake. She got some squinkies, baby alive and 3 skirts. Coltrin's came over and gave her a 32 piece play dough set. Grandpa K & Grandma Ellie came over and gave her some fingernail polish and grape juice (her fav). She told me it was a great birthday.  :)

How sweet!

Getting all giggly as we sing to her

Easter Fun!!

Grandma and Grandpa Baird came Friday morning to visit us. I told Grandma I would wait until they got here to dye Easter Eggs. The girls had a great time. We made glitter eggs! Those of you who have girls may understand how important glitter is. LOL
Poser!

I think Dad secretly really loves doing this.  ;)

Lessons on 'how to' get the egg in and out.

Havin fun!

Even Grandpa got in on the action

Jordon dropped her egg and cracked it. Had to pout for a minute.

Cheeeese!

Daddy putting the glitter on.

Jordon watching closely.

I had put together an Easter Egg Hunt for our subdivision. We had 1800 eggs. We hid about 350 for the 9-12 year olds and scattered the rest for the younger kids. It only lasted 3 minutes but the kids and adults had a great time!
Visiting with friends while they wait for it to start.

Waiting for the hunt to start

All the Easter eggs scattered

Enjoying the candy

Later we went over to our friends the Graefe's house and had another Easter Egg hunt. Afterwards we had a BBQ. First one of the year! I'm SO looking forward to summer. The girls fell asleep on the way home. We had a VERY eventful day.
And they're off!

Love the shoes Sienna ... bad choice though

Button button who's got the button

Just last night I was thinking to myself that it's been a while since I posted something. The problem was I didn't really have anything to blog about. Until now ....
Last night was a strange night. Alexa woke up around midnight (not strange) I nursed her and went to put her back in bed and she started screaming. This is not like her at all. I held her and patted her butt till she went back to sleep. I laid her back down and thankfully she stayed asleep. Then at her 4:30am feeding I changed her diaper (which I always do at this time) she woke up and stayed awake. Usually, she stays asleep while I change her diaper and if she wakes up she goes right back to sleep. This time I laid her down and she was wide awake and started fussing again. So I put her in the swing. It took her an hour to fall back to sleep. This NEVER happens. Anyway, after she woke up for the morning Bruce was taking her jammies off to get her ready for her bath. I was already in the bathroom bathing Jordon & Sienna. Bruce yells out to me that her button was out and laying on her chest. Now everything starts to makes sense. The button must have fallen out around midnight when she woke up. Bruce tried to put the stem back in the hole but it had already closed enough it didn't fit. So we called the Dr.'s office to see what we needed to do. In the mean time we put a gauze pad on and taped the hole. After speaking with the nurse we decided to just leave the button out and let it close up. We hadn't used the button for almost a month. Dr. Reynold's had said that if we didn't use it for 30 days we could take it out. So that is what we based our decision on. So now Alexa is button free!!! Yippee!!!
On another note, she saw the hematologist on Monday. They drew blood to run a protein test to make sure her protein levels were normal and that her blood clotted normally. I got the phone call yesterday that the test came back normal. So we are done with the hematologist and neurologist! Alexa is just like any other 'normal' baby now. Just with a nice beautiful scar. We love our little Alexa!!
