Last week of summer break

We had a pretty busy week with Dad being gone. G&G Baird came to help me out because of appointments. I had my HOA meeting on Tuesday night. On Wednesday morning we went to the Zoo with Cala, Tasha and their kids along with Gmpa Kynaston. The kids loved seeing all the animals. After the Zoo all the kids had dentist appointments so we dropped Alexa off with G&G Baird and the kids and I headed to Dr. Tyngs. Collin didn't have any cavities but Jordon and Sienna both had 2. Too much candy eating I guess ... ;) That night we went swimming in our pool. It was perfect weather! Alexa is such a little fish. She LOVES the pool.
On Thursday Collin had a Dr. appointment with the Pediatrician to get more ADHD medication. After that G&G Baird headed home and Dina came over to bsit for a few hours while I went to another meeting.
On Friday we headed to the fair bright and early. We were there by 10:30am only to see the sign that it doesn't open till noon. Well we got a great parking spot! So we headed over to the animals and looked at the horses, cows, pigs, sheep, goats, etc ... for an hour and a half. Grabbed some lunch and then headed to the rides. Collin and Colton went off by themselves to ride the 'big' rides while the girls and I did the 'kiddy' rides. After 2 hours we called it good. It was 100 degrees outside and we were all roasted and exhausted. We picked up Bruce from the airport at 7pm that night. The girls were so happy to see their Daddy again.

Snail Races

My Dad and Ellie invited us over for Family Home Evening a few weeks ago along with Ellie's daughter Kate and her family. The kids all found snails in the backyard and decided to have a snail race. Jordon's snail won. We enjoyed visiting and eating Popsicles.
And they're off!

We've really enjoyed our community pool. Here are some pictures from one of our visits.

Mud Lake

We went to Mud Lake to visit G&G Baird a couple of weeks ago and also to attend Bruce's niece Courtney's wedding. The girls loved helping Grandpa around the ranch moving the horses. Jordon was also very intrigued by Grandpa's hydes. She wasn't afraid of getting her hands dirty. I enjoyed the quietness (except for nature). I'd sit outside on a lounge chair and just relax.
Courtney's wedding was beautiful. G&G Baird watched the kids so we could attend the temple ceremony. Afterwards there was a luncheon and some delicious pulled pork sandwiches. We went to her reception that evening for about an hour. As we were driving back to Mud Lake from Rexburg which is about a 45 minute drive Sienna and Alexa fell asleep. So Bruce and I decided to pack everything up and just head home. We took off from Mud Lake at 8pm. On the way home we hit a deer. Thankfully it only did minimal damage and we were still able to drive. We made it home by midnight and hit the sack.
We took the car to an autobody shop and they estimate about $2500 in repair costs. Thank heavens for insurance!
