New Years Resolution

So I've been thinking today about my New Years Resolutions and what I want to accomplish this next year. I need to make them reachable and realistic so that it's possible for me to accomplish them. So here they are:

1. Lose 20-30lbs
2. Be more patient with my children
3. Be a better wife to my husband (showing more affection & gratitude)
4. Gain a better knowledge of the scriptures

What are your resolutions?

Happy Happy Christmas!!

As a family tradition stemming from my Mom's side we open up our gifts on Christmas Eve. Then Christmas morning we see what Santa has brought us. I loved it as a kid and wanted to continue the tradition with my kids. Collin got a bunch of army dude stuff. Fighter jets, helicopters, grenades, army men, etc .... Santa brought him an Ipod Nano and two docking speakers. One for here and another at his Dads.
Jordon got Snow White, Ariel, Jasmine & Belle barbie dolls. Tinker bell shoes and a cute outfit from G&G Baird. Santa brought her a Barbie House that she is in love with.
Sienna got a cash register, care bear with 2 bottles, little people boat, a matching outfit with Jordon from G&G Baird. Santa brought her a baby with a highchair and stroller.

WARNING PICTURE OVERLOAD!!!

I'm putting a lot of pictures in here for my Czech daughter to see. :) I'm sure she wishes she was here and on the other hand is glad to be with her family this year. We had my family over (except Brown's) last night to have our traditional Hogie Sandwiches and other delicious food. Our dessert bar was amazing! After we all ate we then had a small program put on by the Clark's this year. Good job Cala! Following that we had the cousins gift exchange which all the kids enjoy. We then sent them upstairs and us adults had a white elephant exchange as well as real gift exchange. There were some great white elephant gifts such as 5 year old mints from Coltrin's wedding which they ended up getting. haha! An 8 track of Mormon Tab. Choir, a Jesus action figure that speaks, 2008 calendar and more. Enjoy the pics!

Just finishing up eating.

Girl Time!

We had the Kynaston kids over last night for a few hours while Rod and Ang went to a Christmas dinner. The kids had a blast playing with each other. They played games, ate pizza, chased each other, etc. I finally had them wind things down and the boys watched 'Polar Express' on TV while the girls had tubby time. At first Hailey didn't want to get in but when she saw the girls having a good time she decided to join in.

Snow, Snow and More Snow

This was Bruce's second time shoveling the snow off the walk ways today. I decided to let the girls go outside and play in the snow. Jordon loved it. Of course she was trying to eat the snow. Sienna was in heaven but not so much interested in the snow, but in watching Daddy shovel it. I can hardly believe how much snow we have. It will make for a much better Christmas.

Sleepy Sienna

Last week Sienna was sick with a head and chest cold. She had been up half the night coughing her head off. Bruce had taken Jordon to the gym and I set Sienna down on the couch to watch cartoons. I left the room for about 15 minutes and came back to this. It was only 10am.

Movie Night

Tonight our kids are having a great time with Colton & Cody over. Collin and the boys have been playing army (imagine that). I made some popcorn and the kids all sat on the couch together and watched Iron Man. Too cute not to blog about!

Czech Presents

So we received our gifts from Kamila and her family today. Jordon and Sienna of course fought over the Barbie doll Jordon got for her birthday from Kamila. They also sent some fairy wings that Jordon loves. Thank you so much for our gifts and TONS of Czech chocolate and candy. We love you so much!!

Mr. Mom

As some of you may know Bruce was laid off in October so he has been playing Mr. Mom a lot more while I work. Since he is collecting unemployment until he can find a descent job I've started working 8 hours a week at Idaho Athletic Club. While I was gone yesterday he cleaned the house, did the dishes and made a Gingerbread house with the girls. (this is a HUGE step for him) I was very impressed! He had a great time with the girls. He then begin to tell me he doesn't know how I do it all the time. That being a Mom is very exhausting. I think a little role reversal every now and then is a great idea for every man just to see how much work being a Mom really is.

My Bear

Collin earned his 'Bear' in scouts tonight. Thanks to his great den leaders he has been much more involved in scouts this year. I'm so proud of him in his new achievement. At the awards ceremony he has to go into the tent and battle a bear to retrieve his award. The picture is of him being 'saved' from the bear. Good job Collin! I'm so proud of you in everything you do. You are such a great example to your younger sisters.
