Breakfast in Bed

On Mother's Day Collin was upset that Bruce didn't make me breakfast in bed. Bruce had done that last year and Collin thought it was so much fun. Yesterday I heard him making a ruckus in the kitchen so I asked him what he was doing. He poked his head in the doorway and said "I was trying to surprise you with breakfast in bed." I told him that was very thoughtful but not necessary. So this morning as I was trying to get some much needed sleep he came in at 7:45am with breakfast. Jordon & Sienna had helped him. It was really sweet. They had made me eggo waffles with peanut butter with a smiley face made of nilla wafers. He had cut up an apple on the side and a glass of juice. Not too bad for 11 years old. Needless to say it made my day. What a great kid!

Our California Adventure Day 7

I think this day was one of my favorite. We went to Knott's Berry farm. There was hardly anyone there so we were able to get right on the rides without waiting in any lines. I thought this park was a great combination of little kid and big kid stuff. It was a perfect way to end our trip.
My favorite picture of the whole trip. Sienna actually loved this ride. We went on it twice.

Our California Adventure - Day 5 & 6

On Monday we went back to Disneyland and finished off visiting areas we had missed. We started off at Splash Mountain. Sienna and I couldn't go so we waited. Then we went to Pooh's 100 acre woods.

We went back to Fairytale Land and the girls and I waited in line an hour to meet some Princesses. Bruce and Collin went on a couple of rides while we waited.

Princess Ariel

After that I took the girls back to the hotel and laid them and I down for a nap. Collin and Bruce headed over to California Adventure and rode the rides there. We met back up with them a couple hours later and went through a couple of rides and watched the Muppets 3D. Bruce ended up getting some weird rash on his calves.

When the California Adventure closed we headed back over to Disneyland to Pixie Hollow to get a few pics. Then headed back to the hotel to call it a day.

On Tuesday we decided to head to the beach again. It was suppose to be high 70's so we decided to check out Newport Beach. It was gorgeous there but FREEZING! It was overcast and the wind blowing was so cold. We got out of the car to feel the freezing temperature only to get right back in and head back to the hotel. We went swimming at our pool and lounged out for the afternoon. That night we went to an Italian restaurant called Buca De Beppo's. It was really good but not a good idea to take the kids on day 6 when they are exhausted. There were a lot of melt downs.

Our California Adventure - Day 4

On Sunday we went to Legoland. It was a nice overcast day. By afternoon the clouds had moved away and the weather was perfect. Legoland was a huge hit for the kids. this park is kid oriented. Here are some pictures of our time in Legoland.

When we got back to the hotel that night we enjoyed a nice relaxing hot tub. Then off to some sweet slumber.

Our California Adventure - Day 3

After 2 long days we needed a rest day. So we headed on down to Huntington Beach on Saturday. It was only mid 60's I would guess that day at the beach. Plus with the sea breeze it made it a bit chilly at times. The kids didn't care. They still ran around in their swimming suits and played chase with the waves in the ocean. I sat back and took pictures and videoed. I ended up getting tons of color that day and burnt my nose and forehead. After about 2 hours we headed back to the hotel to lay the girls down for a nap. Collin and I went down to the pool while I laid out for 2 hours and Collin swam. It was much hotter at the hotel then the beach. :)

That evening we went to Downtown Disneyland to the lego store and met up with Bruce's cousin Chris. We went to dinner with Chris and his 3 kids and met up with another cousin Dani and her 4 kids and also Chris & Dani's mother who is Bruce's aunt Chari. We had a great time visiting with them. Collin was able to go to Disneyland with Chris and his oldest who was also 11 yrs old. He had a blast riding rides with William until midnight.

Our California Adventure - Day 2

On Friday we got up bright and early. Ate breakfast at our continental breakfast. We stayed at the Best Western Park Place Inn that is directly across the street from Disneyland. After breakfast we walked across the street into Disneyland and started our adventure.
We had to take of picture of Cinderalla's castle first off.

We started in Tomorrowland. Here is a picture of the first ride.

We also went on the Buzz Lightyear ride. The girls loved that one. We ended up riding it about 3 or 4 times throughout the day. I took Collin & Jordon on Star Tours. Then Bruce and Collin went to ride the Matterhorn while the girls and I went on Nemo's submarine. Sienna fell asleep after lunch so Bruce, Collin & Jordon went on Spacemountain and the race cars while she slept. We headed on over to Adventure Land after that. We were all able to go on the Safari Cruise. Collin and I went up into Tarzan's treehouse.

We then all went on Pirates of the Caribbean. Bruce and Collin went on Raiders of the Lost Arc while the girls and I waited. Then we headed on over to the Fairytale Land. Sienna's favorite ride was the Carosel.

They had lots of rides in this area that the girls loved. Collin was getting a bit bored. We had to stop and get an ice cream break. It was hot!

Off to the Madhatter's Tea Cups!

We then headed over to It's a Small World. Jordon and Sienna really enjoyed this ride. Then we went to Toontown. We went through Minnie's house and Mickey's house. We also went through some other Toontown buildings and lastly went on Roger Rabbits ride before Toontown closed.

We left Disneyland around 9pm after a long 11 hour day. I could barely walk back to the hotel my feet hurt so bad! Collin was super exhausted as well. We all had a great night sleep.
