The Power of Prayer

So yesterday was full of great news and surprises. First of all my husband drove to Utah to meet with Greenlight and accept a job offer. It is the work from home job the my previous post was about. This is going to work out perfect for us! I'm just so excited we finally have something and we can start to move forward. After many many prayers a huge relief has been lifted off our shoulders.
One of my listings was finally accepted by the bank. This not only helps me out but my Dad as well.
Now onto a different note. I was so excited to watch the premier of Dancing with the Stars. I was up till almost 11pm watching it. I had fallen asleep only to be awoken from Jordon telling me that there was a monster. I told her that monsters aren't real. She insisted that she could hear it. So we walked towards her room and sure enough I heard it. It was the smoke detector chirping. Stupid thing! We had just changed the battery last week. I told her it wasn't a monster it was the batteries and that I could fix it. I changed it out only to hear the one by my bedroom now chirp. What is going on!!!! I get her back to bed and come out to my computer to check my email and hear both of them go off one after the other. Jordon of course freaks out again. So I change the battery in the one by my bedroom. Wait a few minutes and sure enough they still keep chirping. They chirp about every 3-30 seconds apart from each other. I after messing with them for almost an hour I take Jordon into my bed with me and we shut the door and turn the fan on. BUT, we can still hear the dang things. By now Sienna had woke up and I could hear her thru the monitor. I laid in bed for another 45 more minutes listening to them sing to each other and Sienna playing. I got up again and googled what to do. Well come to find out even if you detached the wiring they still can chirp. So I tried wrapping them with saran wrap. Got back in bed. It is now 3:30am. I heard them chirp a few more times and decided to say a prayer. I asked that Heavenly Father please help all of us to not hear the chirping so that we could all fall back to sleep. I didn't hear another chirp after that. We all fell back to sleep .... thank heavens!

That's great news. I'm so glad things are working out for you. But I have to say, why in earth do fire alarms always have to chirp in the NIGHT time? Drives me crazy.
